I've taken what I've learned on PS4 about positioning and general game sense, and it all still applies on PC. But it's also easy to do much, much better aiming with kb+m than on control.Īll that being said, skill does sort of translate between the two. With more than 30 heroes to choose from, each with a unique style to play, players work together to secure and defend control points and escort payloads across the map in a limited amount of time. The skill gap of players seems to be much wider, because it's pretty damn easy to suck with using a mouse to aim lol, but auto aim on console helps with that a bit. Then of course the fact that keyboard and mouse have a much higher skill ceiling, and much lower skill floor in an FPS than a controller does. Doing a quick flick on a controller is already tough, but if that flick is too quick a console will only have time to display 2 or 3 frames, (because most TV's are limited to 60Hz) where on a better monitor with higher framerates and refresh rates you could squeeze in a ton more frames and have the flick feel more smooth, and be much more accurate with it.

You can keep track of a genji flying around as much better with mouse and keyboard, because you can look around much quicker.Īlso with PC you can get 144 Hz monitors and framerates above 60, which in a game like overwatch has a huge impact. Other then that just the hardware is much better. Though if you're a godly Widow with a controller that's fine, but that's really the ONLY time she'll have a big impact on a game on console. Some heroes I think shouldn't EVER be played on console after spending some time on PC. On the opposite end, heroes like Symmetra, Mercy, torb (even with reduced turret damage on console) and now moira are much stronger and have a bigger impact on console. What I mean is heroes like widow, hanzo, mcree, ana, and zenyatta are much more impactful on PC, and much closer to how strong they're actually supposed to be. Heroes on PC have much closer to their intended impact on the game than they do on console.
